He uri o Tūhourangi Ngāti Wahiao, Ngāti Awa(Pahipoto Warahoe),
Ngāti Tarāwhai me Ngāti Manawa. Born at his whanau homestead, Otamaoa, Te Teko 25 August 1935. Passed away surrounded by his whanau in Rotorua 10 January 2024. Devoted husband of the late June Kaihau Skipwith and loving father to his 10 children and koro to his numerous mokopuna.
Tangihanga Details:
Anaru will arrive at Te Pakira Marae, Whakarewarewa at 8am Thursday 11 January 2024, followed by manuhiri whakaeke times of 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. These timings will be the same for Friday 12 January 2024 and Saturday 13 January 2024.
The nehu’s final service will be 11am Sunday 14th January 2025 at Te Pakira Marae, followed by burial At Te Anga Tokiniho, 12 Spencer Road, Lake Tarawera. After Burial the hakari will be at Te Rau Aroha, Whakarewarewa.
